With the release of a research paper showcasing the Drag-based Generative Adversarial Network (DragGAN), it’s safe to say that generative AI is still at the top of its game. Though the latest iteration of image-warping AI tools is just a research paper for now, it’s pretty impressive—to say the least.
Think of DragGAN as Photoshop’s WARP tool—but on steroids 💊. However, with DragGAN, you’re not just moving pixels around; you’re leveraging the power of generative AI to, well, regenerate the object in question. This comes with some perks—for one, you can rotate or reorient 2D images as if they were 3D models.
Evidently, this means that the era of deepfakes will probably reach its peak. However, the image editing possibilities are enough to tickle any creator’s fancy.

With a 24% stock value leap, NVIDIA approached a whopping 1 trillion dollar valuation on Thursday. Why the sudden leap? Well, let’s thank our AI-driven ecosystem for that. Here’s the thing, to meet the computation needs of ChatGPT and other generative AI-centric tools, there’s been an increase in the demand for NVIDIA’s chips.
This, in turn, led to a massive leap in stock prices, causing the company’s valuation to soar over competitors Intel and AMD. To sum it up, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Jensen Huang added, “We’re seeing incredible orders to retool the world’s data centers.” He then emphasized how the budgets of most data centers will shift to accelerated computing in the coming times.

With its Android app still in the works, OpenAI took the world by surprise with the release of its free iOS app. Featuring voice input and backed by Whisper—the company’s speech recognition model—this free application gives users yet another reason to tap into the AI ecosystem.
Similarly to its web-only counterpart, there are still concerns about privacy and the possibility of fabricated information. As such, users are urged to fact-check data and refrain from sharing sensitive information with the application. In any case, the app rolls out first in the US and will arrive in other countries in the coming weeks.
With the rapid rise of large language learning models, the release of Seance AI might finally beg the question, “Is AI taking it too far?” This AI-powered tool is essentially a chatbot designed to mimic people’s dead loved ones.
According to product designer Jarren Rocks, “It's essentially meant to be a short interaction that can provide a sense of closure. That's really where the main focus is here. It's not meant to be something super long-term. In its current state, it's meant to provide a conversation for closure and emotional processing.”
With the name Seance AI, you can tell that the team behind it wants to leave you with a sense of magic and wonder. All you need to do is enter the name of the person you want to “speak” to, alongside their age, personality traits, how they died, and some other text-based info pertaining to how they conversed when they were alive.
So, what do you thing? Is AI taking it too far? Or are some of us getting worked up over nothing?
