OpenAI has released Sora 2, its next-generation video and audio generation model, along with a companion social app called Sora, allowing users to generate, remix, and share AI-created videos with friends.
Sora 2 brings physics-aware simulations, synchronized dialogue, and realistic soundscapes, offering an unprecedented level of control and realism for AI-generated video.
Here’s what you need to know:
🌊 Next-Level Video Simulation: Sora 2 is trained to respect real-world physics, improving accuracy in scenarios like gymnastics routines, cannonball dives, or backflips on paddleboards.
Unlike previous video models that sometimes “teleport” objects to fulfill prompts, Sora 2 correctly simulates outcomes—missed shots rebound realistically, and mistakes reflect internal agent behavior.
The model supports multiple styles, including cinematic, anime, and realistic visuals, and can incorporate complex instructions spanning multiple shots while maintaining world state consistency.
🎧 Audio & Sound Integration: Sora 2 automatically generates dialogue, sound effects, and background soundscapes, creating a holistic audio-visual experience:
Realistic speech and environmental sounds
Accurate integration of sound effects in complex scenes
Synchronized dialogue that matches AI-generated visuals
📱 Sora App: OpenAI has launched Sora, a TikTok-style iOS app designed around Sora 2:
Users can create, remix, and share videos in a feed with algorithmic recommendations.
Cameos feature: upload a one-time video-and-audio clip to insert yourself into AI-generated scenes. You control who can use your cameo, and access can be revoked at any time.
The app initially rolls out in the U.S. and Canada, with plans to expand globally.
🛡️ Responsible Deployment & Safety: OpenAI emphasizes user control and safety:
Feed prioritizes content for creation, not mindless scrolling.
Built-in wellbeing checks prompt users to adjust feed settings periodically.
Teen users have default generation limits and stricter permissions for cameos.
Parental controls via ChatGPT allow oversight of content and interactions.
OpenAI actively addresses consent, harmful content prevention, and identity misuse in videos.
The Sora app is free at launch; users can explore the Sora 2 model and social features with generous usage limits. ChatGPT Pro users can access the higher-quality Sora 2 Pro model via sora.com and soon in-app.
Future updates aim to expand access globally and introduce API integrations.

Anthropic has launched Claude Sonnet 4.5, its most capable AI model to date for coding, reasoning, and computer use. The model is designed for complex agent-building, extended multi-step tasks, and software automation, with major improvements in math, reasoning, and alignment.
Here’s the lowdown:
💻 Powerful Coding Capabilities: Claude Sonnet 4.5 excels at software development and multi-step computational tasks:
SWE-bench Verified: State-of-the-art performance for real-world software coding tasks.
OSWorld benchmark: Now leads at 61.4%, up from 42.2% with Sonnet 4 just four months ago.
Maintains focus for 30+ hours on complex coding projects.
Excels in domain-specific reasoning for finance, law, medicine, and STEM.
Claude Sonnet 4.5 also integrates directly with:
Claude Code: Adds checkpoints for instant rollbacks, refreshed terminal interface, and a VS Code extension.
Claude API: New context editing and memory tools for long-running, high-complexity tasks.
Claude Apps: Code execution, file creation (spreadsheets, slides, documents) directly in conversation.
Claude for Chrome: Available to Max users from the waitlist, allowing browser-based automation and coding tasks.
🛡️ Safety & Alignment: Anthropic emphasizes safety and alignment with Claude Sonnet 4.5:
Improved behavior with lower rates of sycophancy, deception, and power-seeking.
Prompt injection defenses for agentic and computer-use capabilities.
Released under AI Safety Level 3 (ASL-3) protections, with classifiers to detect dangerous inputs (e.g., CBRN-related content).
False positives have been reduced 10x since the previous models.
A full set of safety evaluations, including mechanistic interpretability techniques, is available in the Claude Sonnet 4.5 system card.
🛠️ Claude Agent SDK: Anthropic is releasing the Claude Agent SDK, giving developers access to the same infrastructure that powers Claude Code:
Build custom agents for a wide variety of tasks beyond coding.
Manage memory across long-running processes, handle permissions, and coordinate subagents.
Provides the foundation for creating sophisticated AI agents quickly and reliably.
🔍 “Imagine with Claude” Research Preview
A temporary research preview for Max subscribers.
Claude generates software on-the-fly with no prewritten code or predetermined functionality.
Users can see real-time AI coding and adaptation in action.
Available for five days at claude.ai/imagine.
Claude Sonnet 4.5 is available everywhere today via the Claude API and chatbot. Pricing remains the same as Claude Sonnet 4: $3 per million input tokens, $15 per million output tokens.

Source: PayPal/Honey
PayPal is expanding its Honey browser extension to integrate with AI chatbots, starting with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, to help users get product recommendations, pricing, and deals while shopping online. This move follows PayPal’s recent partnership with Google on agentic commerce initiatives.
Here’s the 411:
🤖 How the AI Integration Works
When a user asks an AI chatbot for shopping advice:
Honey displays links to recommended products.
Shows real-time pricing, merchant options, and available deals.
Detects when AI recommendations may have missed major retailers and surfaces additional options.
The goal is to help consumers compare prices more efficiently while giving merchants a boost via personalized offers.
PayPal emphasizes that the system is AI-agnostic, meaning it can work with multiple chatbots, though it will initially roll out with ChatGPT
⚡ Part of a Broader Agentic Commerce Strategy: The new AI shopping features are part of PayPal’s wider agentic commerce initiatives, including:
Google partnership for agentic shopping
Remote MCP server and Agent Toolkit
Free trials for services like Perplexity Premium and the Comet browser
These initiatives position PayPal to remain relevant as AI begins handling product recommendations and connecting users directly with merchants.
🛒 Competing in the AI Shopping Era
OpenAI recently announced its own agentic shopping system with “Instant Checkout,” initially supporting Etsy, with plans to expand to Shopify merchants.
AI chatbots may increasingly become the starting point for shopping research, reducing reliance on traditional browsing, where Honey has traditionally gained traction.
PayPal’s AI features aim to keep Honey integrated into the evolving shopping ecosystem.
⚠️ Challenges Ahead
Honey has faced recent controversy, including accusations of taking credit for influencer-driven sales, leading to lawsuits and negative press.
The integration with AI could help revive user trust and relevance by offering real-time, transparent product recommendations.
